The Quigney beachfront came alive in September as it hosted two major running events that brought the community together. The Friends of Pumpkins 10km race saw hundreds of runners take to the streets, showcasing the beauty of the Quigney area while promoting health and fitness among residents.

The Daily Dispatch Fun Run (4km & 8km) followed shortly after, bringing together families, students, and athletes of all abilities. The event particularly highlighted inclusivity, with wheelchair participants and students with disabilities from the University of Fort Hare taking part in the celebrations.

Both events highlighted Quigney's commitment to promoting active lifestyles and community engagement, while the beautiful beachfront setting provided the perfect backdrop for these memorable occasions.
